In Ethiopia February 2018 in a way looks like February 1974. Things are moving faster than the TPLF junta ever anticipated. The nationwide uprising is going strong. Protesters have been demanding the release of political prisoners. Even though thousands still remain behind bars few prominent leaders have been released.

Hailemariam Dessalegn, the nominal prime minister has submitted his resignation letter. The reason people depicted him as a prisoner was that Mr. Dessalegn never asserted the full power of the premiership, and he seemed like a prisoner in a guise of big political power. His TPLF handlers always told him what to say.
